How to store your Oliver James Lilo

Oliver James Lilos are constructed from highly-durable performance fabrics designed to last no matter the conditions. The covers are made from 100% solution-dyed acrylic, in colours that will resist fading in UV, chlorine, and salt water environments for many summers to come.
Lilo weather doesn’t last all year. In between floating seasons, Oliver James Lilos can be deflated, cleaned, and stored ready for the next moment the sunshine returns and the water beckons.
With a few simple actions, and a little bit of time, every Lilo can extend its life. Here are our tips for keeping your Lilos intact, intentional, and in perfect floating shape.
Drying your Lilo
When you’re done with your Lilo, it’s always recommended to completely dry the Lilo out before you put it away, deflate it, or move it.
Drying isn’t complicated. Just remove the Lilo from the water and leave it on a dry surface for a few hours in the sun, or suspend it off the ground overnight to drain and dry. Once dry, you can continue with storage or maintenance.
Leaving your Lilo wet and dirty for extended periods can promote the growth of mold and mildew.
Cleaning your Lilo
Once dry, inspect the Lilo for any dirt or stains. Follow the instructions in the [Cleaning Guide] for every kind of cleaning situation. Alternatively, we also recommend taking the LiloCover to a dry cleaner between seasons, to ensure the fabrics are at their best while stored.
Storing your Lilo
Make sure you begin with your Lilo on a flat, clean, dry surface free of debris.
Locate the valve window at the back of your Lilo and open it to reveal the valve.
Remove the valve body, allowing air to escape. Keep the valve body and valve cap in a safe space to avoid being lost.
Attach the deflation adaptor (the shorter of the two adaptors) to the DEFLATE port on the pump, and press it into the valve.
Turn the pump on.
Wait for all the air to leave the Lilo. Be patient and allow the pump time to do its work. Forcing air out of the Lilo by pressing on the Lilo can cause damage to the LiloCore and pump.
Once fully deflated, quickly reattach the valve body and valve cap by screwing clockwise into the valve port.
Lay the Lilo out flat. Smooth out any creases and fold as demonstrated below.
Strap the lilo using the included belt or LiloCase
If the lilo does not fit into the bag, repeat steps 4-8.
Store your Lilo in a cool and dry place, ready for Lilo weather to return.

Place the folded Lilo into the LiloCase and close the double zipper opening. Then, use the single compression zipper to compress the folded Lilo down small for storage. The LiloCase is custom constructed for your Lilo, and has a dedicated space for the pump, charge cable, repair kit and User Guide.
If you discover any wear, tears, rips or issues with your LiloCover, initiate a repair [here].
Store your Lilo in its LiloCase in a cool, dark place when not in use.
